Camp 2014

During the 2014 camp, two laboratories took place: one regarding ādivāsī art, one about traditional food. As always the aim is sharing knowledge between volunteers and students of Jareya, to learn from each other. So, while students learned how to make “grissini” and biscuits, volunteers learned how to prepare local recipes, as “pakora” and “malpua”, i.e. fried veggie snacks and sweet pancakes. For the artistic activities, volunteers met first a local expert of Adivasi art, Bulu Imam. Then, students showed their village realities, thanks to drawings and sketches. Collecting enough material, volunteers and students eventually created a 30 meters long wall painting representing the life of the villages.
